Full Report: Resisting the Rule of the Rich: Protecting Freedom from Billionaire Power.
Billionaire wealth jumped by over 16 per cent in 2025, three times faster than the past five-year average, to $18.3 trillion – its highest level in history, according to a new Oxfam report today as the World Economic Forum opens in Davos.
Billionaire wealth has increased by 81 per cent since 2020. This comes as one in four people don’t regularly have enough to eat and nearly half the world’s population live in poverty.
“There’s not enough money to fund social services” / “We can’t pay our employees more cause it would cut into our bottom line”
BS
This is capitalism doing exactly what capitalism does.
This is the core of all problems. Trump advanced it greatly. Well the other core problem is the stupidity of the average American. No, blue collar redneck in Kentucky, Trump doesn’t give a crap about you.
Trump made it worse, but we have decades of politicians making this happen before it got to this point.

Whatever this was meant to be it’s broken in the desktop web ui.
I really hope the coming crash (stock, lending, the dollar, ect.) wipes them out, since most are rich only on paper.
…if we start assembling guillotines now, we can make sure of it!
Well, that’s what these ruthless monsters are all about, and that’s why fascism is on the rise again worldwide: because it allows billionaires to legitimize their depravity through this inhuman ideology.
That’s how it was back in Nazi Germany, where economic leaders ultimately lost control over Hitler, leading to millions of deaths and unbearable suffering, but the billionaires got away with it because they were not prosecuted for their crimes – so now they are trying again with this despicable ideology, and the saddest thing is that people have not learned the slightest thing from history, but are falling once again for the obvious lies of the neo-Nazis just as they did before.
Billionaires are probably stocking and warming up their bunkers
Let them have their bunkers, we have welders.
Their bunkers shall become their tombs.
The hilariously sad thing is they need us wage slaves to do their bidding. They love living their lives in luxury. They’d very quickly realize living in a bunker sucks ass.
Maybe that’s why they’re so invested in AI so they don’t have to worry about relying on the “poors” in their bunkers.
I’m not so sure. They do like to have weddings in Venice and spend time on their mega yachts. Being stuck in a hole eventually gets to a person, no matter the amount of entertainment, virtual or otherwise. These people want to have it all. Self-made prison is still a self-made prison.
Totally agree. No one ever said they were smart long term thinkers. Late stage capitalism doesn’t exactly reward that kind of thinking after all.
Agreed. If on a virtual level, they can connect all the silos, they won’t care living in their holes for however long. Perception is key.
Remove the comforts……that all changes.
Nothing to see here, everything is fine
They’re including new billionaires. How much of the growth is a natural consequence of inflation pushing a lot of millionaires over the threshold? It would be better to measure the wealth of the top x% to get a consistent idea of wealth growth than use some arbitrary cutoff that jumps suddenly from only a small increase.
