Ah yes, the Cruz Cruise Index.

At least we haven’t reached the 4th level: Ted Cruz has been forced to return from vacation.

      That’s after it’s all over.

I personally prefer the Waffle House Index because unlike Ted their workers are heroes willing to stay and serve through some nasty disasters.

It’s actually better than that. The workers that work through the disasters have been shipped in from an area of the country that isn’t getting hit, and are getting hazard pay, so that the locals can get paid time off to care for their families during and immediately after the disaster.

The PPI (Pentagon Pizza Index [Link] - I wish they were not sponsored by polymarket… But ya got to keep the lights on…) is the latest of my new favorite silly OsInt tools. When shit is going down, a cartoonish amount of pizza gets ordered because people are stuck at the office late into the evenings.

And its not just governments, people were preparing for Valve’s upcoming Deadlock update hours in advance because we saw a spike in pizza orders for the staff overnight through each major chains online activity maps.

What are some other ones you like? I like having fun things like that to look into when I’m wondering if something is going on

Anecdote: A while ago my partner and I were sitting together in bed playing something when an unusually large jet flew right overhead. Which is also unusual. I’ve lived at my place a while and I know the air traffic patterns. There are a few military bases around and the only thing that flies close to me that I can hear are helicopters (side story, I saw 5-6 Chinooks flying all together once and I was so fucking thrilled)

I used flightradar24 to find what the hell just rattled my home apart; it was a MASSIVE jet, a c5 super Galaxy . It passed over the way my window faces so I was able to see it and holy fuck was I awestruck. I’ve lived somewhere else near a base and routinely had smaller cargo planes pass a few thousand to hundreds of feet over me. Those were still impressive. But this will probably be the biggest plane I see in flight and it was incredible

I have seen the Spruce Goose though! It wasn’t in flight, just in a museum
