Once my cat turned 20 she needed dust baths, it’s not that she didn’t like the water (she liked the warmth) but rather that she couldn’t groom her fur back straight and refused to allow me to brush her coat to straight, so she’d get matted otherwise.
She had an extra (clean) litterbox that I’d bring down out of storage for her to roll in that was full of diatomaceous earth and baking soda.
