“As a DJ, it is normal to receive song requests, especially during a bottle parade,” read the DJ’s statement posted Friday. “In this instance, I received an Airdrop titled ‘HH’, with no indication of the song’s context. After playing the song it became clear that the lyrics were offensive. As soon as I realized the songs [sic] nature, I was stunned and shocked and immediately looked for another song to switch to.”
The DJ wrote that he takes “full responsibility” for the incident and “should have listened to the song or asked about its content before playing it.”
“I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been offended by the playing of this song, especially to my family and friends in the Jewish community,” he wrote.

Every now and then it occurs to me that people can just openly and proudly be hateful and it disgusts me
I’m reading “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” and… hoo boy they certainly can.
“But muh freeze peach!”
Every fucking idiot that doesn’t understand how some ideologies do not deserve any freedom what so ever.
We know the dj who played a song faster than the names of the ice agent who killed a citizen or the epstein list criminals names.
If this happens to any of you, ⌘+I will bring up its properties including title, artist, album, etc.
He said AirDrop, he’s DJing on a MacBook and that’s the equivalent of file properties, I think it’s Alt+Enter on Windows. But I don’t think Windows reads metadata like macOS can. I had an extension once that added it, though. Very handy.
But it seems to me if I’m getting airdropped something on my Mac, I’m gonna look into it first!
FYI while Apple disabled AirDrop for more than 10 minutes at a time to non-contacts, the feature is on by default on MacBooks. Probably part of why they’re popular for DJing, though I’ve never made that connection.
Thanks. This tip helped me avoid playing a song called “Me So Horny” at my son’s elementary school promotion party. I initially thought it was a fun tune about antelope or rhinoceroses or something like that.
In Windows, Alt-Enter then clicking on the Details tab will get you a file’s metadata. No addons necessary.
Cool — that’s what I thought. I have Windows 11 at work, but I don’t have any media files on the work machine.
I know I had some kind of file properties extension once but I can’t recall exactly what now.
Thanks for the clarification.
Theres only two things HH will actually mean in practice.
Hulk Hogan used to end every tweet with HH.
Because he was a Nazi
Hansestadt Hamburg is a common one, but not in Florida…

“bottle parade” is a concept I never needed and don’t want now. How sad.

I didn’t know the song was offensive, don’t know how it entered my library!
What a bunch of marigold flowers, any sign of trouble and they immediately backtrack. If they’re going to be horrible people, at least have the courage to admit it. There’s plenty of scum who would associate with them regardless.
- Random person I’ve never heard of does a bad thing.
- Immediately apologizes, explains it was an accident, and commits to ensuring the problem doesn’t occur again.
- What a nazi.
Definitely a Nazi for not knowing what HH means. Don’t forget he also said he has friends in the Jewish community. That means he might be a Zionist sympathizer, which is practically a Nazi these days.
