“For 280 days we haven’t eaten a single piece of fruit, banana, apple, orange, or anything fresh," an Otay Mesa captive communicated through handwritten note. "We are all in one big room with no doors or windows. We can’t see any grass or trees. We are all constantly sick."
I hate overdramatic lying. It devalues the background theme. And I see 2 ways of fighting such lies: first – say “Fuck you, stupid overdramatic liar”, second – make a joke pointing on the overdramatism. In this particular situation I chose the second variant. You like the first one more?
Just a quick side note, you can throw someone into a hole (or down a hatch, etc.). No doors and no windows.
Regardless, the fact that you immediately jump to “overdramatic lying” says a lot about you. Could it be possible that “no doors” means there’s one single, heavily guarded door and therefore, for all intents and purposes, there are no doors?
Or what, they are lying about the conditions then? Is that your claim?
