Until I enlarged the thumbnail, I at first thought this was a cross-section of a cruise ship which is a totally different type of hell.

I’d watch a miniseries retelling of Dante’s inferno but it’s decks of a cruise ship….
Story idea: the city is besieged by an army. They dig tunnels to circumvent the walls, and discover–
The besieging king is there to recover his child. He had sworn a holy oath to “face hell on earth”, without realizing he would need to literally do so. He orders his troops to fight their way through.
The troops suffer massive casualties and morale plummets. The king summons the greatest hero in his land, which rallies the troops. But the defending city makes unthinkable sacrifices to Satan, who eats the hero. The king summons the holiest Knight in his land. But the Knight falls to despair and the temptations of hell.
Then the king summons the most decadent libertine in his land, of whom it is said there is no Sin they have not committed.
This is just Diablo/Tristram for the French.
