This started with dry beans. I also made a pepper sauce for them. Cost wise they are practically break even with the cheapest multi pack of freezer burritos you can buy at 12¢ per ounce. These cost 11¢ per ounce.

But that’s not a fair comparison. These are more beans and cheese per burrito instead of more tortilla.

They are practically gormete compared to the most high end frozen burritos (Amy’s at 59¢ an ounce).

This is a lot of labor. But if you got time and eat a lot of freeze burritos is okay to treat yourself.

    I know what it’s like to go without proper Mexican. I’m a former resident of San Diego. I have lived in The South for two decades now and finding proper Mexican food is painful. When it comes to taquitos I have exactly the same problem you have. Ridiculously low quality and nasty things that do not count. Nothing like the crispy sticks of joy I know and love.
