Just starting now, getting back in the drawing after surgery on both my old nerves and after many years of not doing anything with it and figured I just share.

You mention that you have a grimoire.
I’ll recognize that smug little face anywhere.
It is a rough outline but has depth. Way better than I can do.
The more I look at it the more I really love the way the left eye draws off the page, creating an illusion of roundness. I think it’s a great use of canvas.

I drew when I was in highschool and a couple of my friends were really good bordering on great artists at the time.
I have never been close to your level of perspective drawing. My creativity is far more constrained by the limitations of my preferred medium’s.
It is okay to leave work unfinished. Or come back to it as time and inspiration allows.
I’m glad what I said brightened your day! More importantly though is that you deserved the praise. It is good work.
It’s got some real life to it. Reminds me of Hoshiumi from Haikyuu!
