    Yeah, I’m reminded of some of the dancing robot videos that have come out this year, where it’s clear that some robots may have an elaborate dance routine “memorized,” but can’t handle a little bit of an unexpected force (unevenness on the floor, unexpected obstruction, etc.), and that slight disruption cascades into a broken robot flailing on the floor.

    With a closed course time trial, especially on a very famous track, it would require third party validation to show that the actual reasoning used wasn’t just a preprogrammed line.
