Now, the airline says the “message was poorly worded and not accurate.” That’s right, United isn’t denying the memo was shared with agents, or that anyone who read the message would think that passengers could rebook onto flights to alternative airports to deliberately avoid the DJT airport.
this is worse than if they had not mentioned it in the first place.
Nothing but negatives to renaming the airport. No one likes the name, it costs them money to have the name, they needed to pass a controversial law just to be able to name it, and then another controversial decision to approve the use of the name.
You know who’s paying for that name? Anyone flying into that airport, at the least.
