Not sure lobbing missiles at civilian ships and kidnapping their crews was the way to go.

Well, in any case, if you start firing missiles at other you can’t be all the surprised if people start firing back.

I agree with you that kidnapping & killing civilians is not the way to go for any group. But do you see how your statement applies the same way to Isreal & the US?

Well yes, they expected the US to kill a bunch of civilians to protect Israel, as the US did during the previous blockade.

They aren’t surprised, the US is a one-trick pony. The houthis go so far as to put out music videos proclaiming that they expect to be bombed, and they don’t care, because it’s nothing they have not already withstood. They believe it shows the cowardice of their enemy that they shoot off bombs from distant lands in order to enforce their will upon those who do not have the same technology to fight back.

It would be a greater shame to the houthis not to stand up against the oppression faced by Palestinians, which is not dissimilar from the oppression and devastation that Yemenis have themselves faced at the hands of western-backed powers.

And? What, they just spawned from nothing? They just started a civil war over nothing because they’re arab and crave brutality, and western forces had nothing to do with it? You think you can just bomb and occupy them out of existence? History has shown that military escalation just drives more people to join the forces of resistance.

Im sorry but your reply seems completely unconnected to mine.

OP’s source talks about the war starting with Saudi Arabia’s involvement when ut factually starts with The Houthi pulling out of the coalition government and attacking the capital. I was adding this but because all of the war, pain and suffering start with The Houti instigating a war against the rest of Yemen 11 years ago.

Im not sure why you mention the ethnicity if the Houthi as I did not and it is entirely unrelated to anything we are discussing.
