Why the fuck would a Canadian company need to “build trust” with ICE?

Porn is in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah. He did the same thing with NAFTA. Then 5 years later he was all like, “What kind of idiot made this fuckin’ deal?”
You can’t negotiate with stupid.

Yup. Pivoted to the right, too soon.

Not to sell off all their US bonds. Europe can tank the US economy any time they want.

He doesn’t know what day it is.

It’s the “sunk cost fallacy”. They’ve already invested so much, that turning back now means a total loss…when success “might be” just around the corner, if they only invest a little more. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Can’t wait for the discovery phase of this trial.

That’s basically why the Supreme Court ruled that Presidents have some degree of immunity from prosecution. It wasn’t just about shielding Trump from prosecution…it was also about retroactively pardoning all the previous presidents for their own individual “crimes”, while in office.
The precedent was set after Nixon. Their ruling just legitimized all that previous lack of accountability.
But, in Trump’s case…not a lot that he does is in the service of the country. Most of it, is entirely self-serving…and that can be prosecuted.

Then you haven’t been paying attention. Almost everything he’s been trying to do that is actually against the law, has been blocked in court.
And if you’re one of those folks thinking that he could at some point just invoke the Insurrection Act and use the military to take over…then you should know that the majority of the generals in the military would not follow those orders, unless there was a clear and obvious threat to the nation.
There would be no “Order 66” moment…only the beginning of a “civil war” within the military, that would most likely result in a stalemate due to officers simply refusing to order their troops to fire on their own people.

It doesn’t matter if he means it.

His attention span isn’t that long.

…says the guy who doesn’t even know what half the people he’s pardoned were even in prison for.

No need. Maria Corina Machado already gave him hers.

Lol! Best quote of the whole speech. Not even a whiff of irony.

And they’ll paint camouflage all over them, for “stealth”.

Which is actually detrimental to their own domestic labor situation. It would be insane for Canada to follow China’s lead. Automation is great, when it helps improve the lives of workers…but, it’s terrible if it makes sizeable chunks of your entire labor force obsolete.
On paper, who cares? Markets adjust. In reality, those people don’t just cease to exist once you’ve replaced them with robots. You either have to have a financial framework set up to provide for them, like UBI…or you’ll end up with an unemployment crisis on your hands.

Canada can’t compete with Chinese manufacturing. Their labor costs are too low. The only way to “compete” domestically, would be to drop wages to below minimum.
This is exactly what strategic tariffs are for. China has every opportunity to bring in their EV’s…but the price tag is adjusted to match what Canada can produce locally. It prevents our own industries from having to run below cost just to compete with parts made in China.

Welp…there goes the Canadian automotive industry. First we lose the US market over tariffs, and now we outsource what’s left, to China.
Trumpis a threat to western civilization.
