Yes I hate touch screen everything! And don’t even get me started on the data aspect.

I’m approaching 40 and my thought process was, delicious but I’m going to pay for that and it’s not worth the pain lol

Yesss saving this comment lol

Relatable! I’m learning, slowly lol. I picked up a Betty Crocker cook book, this one specifically (not sure why the cover art is missing it’s the red cover with a spoon shape) and that’s been pretty good so far. Lots of things in there about HOW to do things. And The Food Lab which if you like science and really understanding what you’re doing, you’ll love that book.
I’ve also subscribed to [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] as well as a few alts of similarly named communities.

I honestly don’t know but that quote lives rent free in my head lol. YouTube Source

This is my fear and I think it might be a real possibility
I love this so much!

I’m a millennial who’s just learning to cook, definitely not gen Z lol. I dated people that cooked but mostly it was out food, microwave food, and extreme basics like spaghetti that’s noodles and jar sauce.
My parents both grew up extremely poor with both parents working. They didn’t really get taught how to cook. And being poor meant, no extra money for anything with flavor. My parents spice cabinet had salt, a 5 year old container of pepper, and a probably older container of Italian seasoning. That’s it.
For most of my life I thought I just didn’t really like food until I moved out. We didn’t have a lot of money either so we didn’t really go out. Having my own job and living with other people meant I had money to go out and holy shit, out food was delicious! Never occurred to me until years later that, this could be made at home much cheaper if I just take the time to learn how.

Yes! The banking system is freaking archaic.

I’m so irritated with the ones where the password manager and even fill things out because it doesn’t recognize the form at all. But the ones that make me really mad are the ones that won’t accept autofill. Like it will fill but, the website doesn’t recognize that anything was input because you didn’t actively type it so you have to go type a character then backspace on both lines so it’ll let you submit.

This gives me RAGE. If you can’t trust your users with a simple password, how can you trust them to keep their email secure?! Let me use a friggin password!

My job has a lot of driving. I’ve been put through multiple driving courses on safe driving. We have literal rules about not being able to turn left into our parking lot. Everything is safety, safety, safety.
They bought vehicles where almost everything is on the touch screen. The solution? Tell us to set everything before we drive and pull over if we need to use the touch screen…

Thank you! I had all but one checked

My work issued phone has GPS tracking on it. My company issued laptop has GPS tracking on it. My work issued vehicle has GPS tracking on it. I have a camera that faces in and out of the vehicle as well. That’s just how most companies are these days.

On one hand, having your boss micromanage the hell out of you and kind of stalk you is insane.
On the other hand, that’s what cops do daily to everyone with ALPR’s. I’m not sure where to put my rage on this one lol. How’s it feel to be treated the way you treat others?

Now I’m just thinking of Homestar Runner’s Teen Girl Squad: “if you fall in a bottomless pit, you die of starvation”
Meep meep!

Glances around
I mean, it’s working just fine. 🤷♀️

I’m in that transition period right now. Where I’m fully realizing the weight of how fast time has flown and how much I’m aging but yet I’ve still (theoretically) have a semi decent amount ahead of me. Every year the song hits a bit harder.
OP made his out of construction paper and it probably looks better 😂
