I se open sourcing all the things the way out of or beyond capitalism/communism/feudalism, a gateway for people to understand.

With all these RISC dev boards and laptops Im getting ao much hope & renesanse for the future I haven’t felt in a very long time.
While I understand that ‘runs Debian’ means ‘nothing but core works, this is for devs, not end users’ I really think this could be the global push towards open source hardware & software (with laptops such as these phones are soon to follow).
Not in the corporate cards as of yet, margins too delicious.
smaller, cheaper
Just say better.
They are better vehicles and the ad campaigns for ‘bigger, more expensive’ vehicles are finally hitting their stupid wall.
Now lets do SUVs next.
Good old single core days.
Yeah, not to mention some low level engineers that built it only using a hairpin, a hammer, and a lithography machine … (ofc joking, but I bet there are like five nerds that basically made it all happen).
There are actually like 10 exact same glasses from different manufacturers/brands, from 250-ish moneys upwards (you might need various addition interfaces for your devices, like PC, HDMI, etc - sold separately and unreasonably expensive for what they are).
They all use the same design, Sony OLEDs, speakers, batteries, accessories, etc, they only differ in front design.
As long as Hanna Montana Linux is installed directly on bare metal, all is good!
Yes, disappointing, but this might not be for the full fov.
It says 50°, and such glasses can be worn on different lengths from the eyes.
Regardless, I agree with you - I absolutely want to see (a lot) more than 1080p of like financial data/code/hentai without moving my head, otherwise I’ll just keep using my office monitors.
… so they actually managed production/made it feasible … aaand then decided on ChromiumOS (supposedly because the “monitor” is a bit different)?
Such glasses is what I need from (non-gaming) VR. But not like this :(
Huh, I went to check - we did it in 2003 (for vat and income tax iirc, ofc they expended it since, nowdays only courtroom stuff doesn’t have online admin systems).
Prior to that you just got the (already filled out) income tax form in the mail - if everything was ok that was usually it. In case you still owed, it included the bill, it they owed you they wired the money to your bank.
If the tax forms were incomplete for some reason (or just not optimised between the members of the same family) you could fill in what they missed (like literally with a pen) & send it back (for them to verify & return it to youb revised).
(This system still works so folk who prefer to do it via paper can do that.)
Ok, but surely one would put all that in a virtual Windows instance running Hannah Montana distro running Proxmox, right?
We really are speedrunning this end of all multicellular life thing, huh?
Yes, humans kinda brute-forced intelligence with current assets - made it bigger (with some birthing issues) & more power hungry (with some cooling issues), but it mostly works.
If it’s not generating compression to power itself it’s not a jet engine, it’s just sparkling ducted fans.
Investigators work for a company named Boeing.
As ofc do their assassins.
Same department and job title actually. Spawn kill basically.
No capes!
… just a very flamboyant loincloth to the same effect …
I mean, I dont care abut pain as much as time - like I would settle for something interesting, like getting sucked off to death … into a jet engine at max speed.
Only if they confirm it can experience consciousness and tremendous amounts of pain well they deploy them on a large scale industrial 24/day meaningless jobs.
The system demands blood.
