17 days agoHeard this weird comment on the radio the other day: “We can’t tax the rich because they are the best milk-cows in our stable.” Mate if you can’t get milk from a cow it’s hardly the best one in your stable.

16·1 month agoMy cat started doing the same thing, except he started attacking my feet which was quite painful. I picked him up and put him outside and closed the door, then went back to sleep. Mine also cried but I sleep like a rock so it doesn’t bother me plus he can just go sleep with the other cat so it’s not like he is lonely all night. He got the hint super quick and now it’s no longer an issue.

Mostly Snes for me. Ironically Simons quest for nes I’d actually consider a search action game, but the game was quite the outlier from the normal level based linear Castlevania games and not very popular.
The generational part might be true. The Castlevania games I grew up with were no “metroidvanias” so the name is doubly silly to me.
People calling search action games metroidvania is a big pet peeve of mine. No idea why it bothers me. Anyways hollow knight is my favorite, followed closely by silksong.
I have seen gramophones and telegraphs in museums, I wonder if one day I will live to see payphones in normal non specialty museums? Also right now we still have some payphones here, but what I haven’t seen in probably more than 20 years are payphone cards.

Not even if you look at millennials photos, most 20 year olds right now look older than the average 35 year old, it’s crazy.
It took me way too long to understand they meant the pool was empty of people, not empty of water …
It really depends on the circumstances. For me personally renting and investing is indeed better - but my rent is 500 Eur per month for 100m² cold and I can’t finance a similar sized house for that here. Everyone needs to do their own math for their situation.

I’d really like to get this car but most people have told me it’s too risky for me, anyone else has any input?
I can’t load at home or work, but I could load at a station accessible by foot a few minutes from my house, as well as once a week when I go shopping for about 30-45 minutes.
I only have to drive twice a week, 90km per day two days in a row, with no opportunity to load in between, but I could load the day before and the day after. People have told me it’s too risky especially in winter I might not make it on that distance.
