If you talk bad about the dictator they take away your right to buy train and airline tickets to escape the country.
This is real policy.
There are repercussions for saying you want free and fair elections, that is unacceptable

51·6 hours agoControversial I know, but I think saying “hey we’re not going to recklessly break the country and sell off the peices to our rich friends” does make you better than the person who will just break stuff.
Either way the protest votes still had 0 effect on the results of the election.

In 2020 there were just under 2mil independent voters
So 1mil were added
The Dems had 11million votes less than what they got in 2020, the Republicans had 5mil less
We know Democrats don’t change to Republicans, and Republicans very rarely change to Democrats.
(Maybe) the 1mil came from democrat protesters, more likely they came from Republicans who don’t want to vote Democrat.
So either way the protest votes were still a drop in the bucket compared to the other 10million white men/women and hispanic men we can see from the shifts in voter demographics.
Im sorry you don’t like the data I’m observing but we live in a deeply bigoted country and it’s better to try to engage with that and fix it instead of feeling attacked.

The Han Chinese represent 91.11% of the population in China
There are long running documented campaigns of cultural erasure of China’s minority groups. It’s no shocker that a country with billions of people they would use ethnic clensing to maintain social stability.

I’ll admit that a truly dedicated and benevolent dictator could run a good society, there are a few examples in the past too.
But it’s going to collapse once daddy dies like every dictatorship.
