Do they mean getting a taxi to/from the party? So you can get ham-diddly-hammered and get home? That’s what one of my companies did

People seem to think that supporting a social justice cause somehow makes them left of centre. It doesn’t. The US has spent a lot of time and money trying to stamp out governments with left of centre economic policies for many decades and has framed anything even remotely socialist as full-blown authoritarian communist butcher-dictator, and therefore anything short of full capitalism and privatisation of everything is bad. They over-thew social democracies in Latin America and installed brutal military dictatorships to privatise and sell of the resources. They napalmed Vietnam because something-something commies. The US has no concept of what left-of-centre is because they have bombed, raped, and pillaged pretty much everything that resembles left-of-centre in this world. I even hear people in the US calling themselves ‘left of centre’ and then finish their sentence hating on socialism - which is a pretty broad spectrum of ideology.

And corn. The little sweet bursts of the corn just adds a whole dimension of delicious to a chili.

Meanwhile cars have inters bolted on. So just put on the fucking wets and go racing and let the drivers use their fucking judgements. It’s not fucking rocket appliances.

I won’t give a pass to americans just because they didn’t vote for him. There’s a lot of americans who just didn’t vote, period. Anyone who didn’t actively cast a ballot in opposition to that fuck stain of a president is just a guilty of him being there as the ones who did vote for him. Considering only 152,320,193 people voted in the 2024 US election from a population or 340,110,988, where 268,687,680 of them are over 18, that leaves roughly some 100 million people who could have voted against this but chose not to. More people just didn’t vote than voted for either the Democrats or republicans. As far as I’m concerned, those people really didn’t care if a fascist government was elected and really don’t care about anyone but themselves. So I won’t accept apologies from americans trying to wash their hand of this. Their government has threatened Canada’s sovereignty, has thrown the first attack, and I blame every single american person that voted for trump, or couldn’t be bothered to go out and vote against him, whatever their reason may be.

As the great Canadian band Rush once sang: “If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.”

They don’t get to wash their hands of the fascist government just because they chose to ignore the problem rather than cast a vote. They decided the prospect of fascism was just as bad as having a black woman as president.

IMHO Embarrassing doesn’t even begin to describe the situation.

Most conservatives I’ve met, in Alberta, Canada, have giant ball-sacks hanging off their trucks… Somehow I don’t think they are looking for women in the first place… Or they are lying to themselves.
