Must be nice - I need to get citizenship >_>

That last part is the real zinger lol
The temptation to skim and feel like you’ve done all the hard work in looking it up and synthesizing after only just hitting the lazy button is wild. I use deep research functions a lot for work and I was super naive in my ability to grasp the underlying knowledge off reading that content let alone trusting it. Found my knowledge was super squishy or lacking depth to answer any questions or leverage it with any meaningful degree that i normally would have prior to this tech.
Its been embarrassingly harder than I would like to admit in trying prevent myself from using it in that way other than just a fancy google search. The temptation is there like fast food ready to hit my veins - but I am getting better

If history is any indication, they’ll prob get caught in the cross-fire like local law enforcement in Chicago, LA, or Minneapolis

Hmmmm how many of these people are on military properties now?
It’s all underground and decentralized into its own communities. Takes a good amount of digging but its not like say the 70s-early 00s where smaller to medium sized labels were taking risks and funding all kinds of music that allowed for bands like NIN and Rage to hit the stratosphere. With all the M&A and industry contraction, risk taking is severely discouraged. Hence, the generic slop seen in the surface today.

100%. Just did early voting today and that was the sitch
Lmao made my morning

Lame - never updating my stuff and will move off smartphones.

Clown country never ceases to surprise me the levels of depravity of its abuses as they extend what they’ve done to the world upon their own countrymen.

Hitch was awesome. Thanks for bringing this back to my mind.

Pretty sure theres a polymarket for this now ☠️ Horror world

Every. Fucking. Time.

🫠 ugggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

For my line of work, I get to talk to a lot of people and travel around the Chicagoland area within and beyond her district.
To address your question head on, I would say the city is average in the sense that people are largely disengaged despite national attention. This is not to say there’s not a motivated group she’s identified and resonate with her that may have been switched on by National media. But the undecided polling number proportion echo the ambivalent sentiment people here have as they go about their daily lives on this race in general let alone external influence. This being said from driving around the IL09 area, I see a lot more Kat signs than i do Biss.
Taking a step back, it is wild to think that a notable amount of Chicagoans would still be this aloof given all the ICE stuff that happened this past year. I don’t know how well this was reported nationally, but there were a lot of signs I would see around town that were posted on streets or street corners warning others that someone or a group of people were abducted by ICE there. People are generally back to their normal lives and going about the mundane but the backdrop of what happened is all weird and super fucked.

I am in IL and have been following these races closely. Did my early voting today too.

Out of all the IL races, this one has gotten the most attention. Hope she wins as her competition lack a lot of conviction for the modern era.
Meanwhile there’s a very important senate seat in IL for Durbins seat where the polling lead for the dem primary is a total corporate shill and the other two are better not a super clean cut given stumbling around ostensibly straightforward geopolitical questions.
