I actually just finished Better Call Saul for free* from my library. Got to keep the last season for three weeks even so it was easy to get through.
Only downside is that libraries will generally not have 4K Bluerays or whatever, but it’s not the end of the world.
*obviously already paid for via my taxes
I feel like I got my car at the perfect time:
It has Android Auto and CarPlay, and it’s a manual so there’s no way for it to turn on or off remotely.
Now I just have to make sure it survives until I die.
I totally forgot about this app because, well, it seemed pretty forgettable.
I’m also not in the target demo since I currently have my wallpaper set to whatever my phone wants to rotate in and out every hour from my Photos app.

It’s an older game, but Downwell is fun. Just a little action/arcade game where you fall down a well and try to get combos by not touching the ground by bouncing off of enemies.

I feel like this is pretty reductive, really, to blanket all AAA games as one thing that are all bad. Just like all indie games aren’t great. In fact, the vast majority are kinda trash, really.
For every Call of Duty, you can find amazing games like Death Stranding 2 that have insane budgets but swing for the fences (and succeed in my opinion). And on the flip side for every Silksong you have three million, anime-girl-on-the-cover trash indie games.
There’s no “one is better than the other” when comparing the totality of AAA vs indie.
I’m trying this app out now based on your comment, and so far it seems really nice. I may replace Voyager with it as well.

I had a bit of a breakthrough with some personal growth with my code today.
I learned a bit more about entity framework that my company is using for a project, and was able to create a database table, query it, add/delete/update, normal CRUD stuff.
I normally work mostly on front end code, so it was rewarding to learn a new skill and see the data all the way from the database to the UI and back - all my code. I felt great after doing a code review this afternoon to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, and we talked about some refactoring to make it better.
AI will never give you that.

At least V2 still works and won’t just disappear. You can still use those apps you bought.
But it’s just sad to see this new path. I used to buy all the apps just because I liked the business model. I don’t really ever use Publisher, but I bought it anyway.

This isn’t my experience, and I had a iPhone 12 Pro up until a couple of weeks ago. Google Maps generally ran alright that I can remember.
On the newest phones it’s really smooth, but those phones also have enough horsepower to make pretty much any app run smoothly.
Honestly, I use it all the time now since I plug in my phone to my car and it’s right there.
It’s fine. Sometimes I use Google Maps. It’s also fine.
I actually like Apple’s approach to describing when to turn. It’ll say stuff like “go past this light and turn at the next” instead of vague shit like “in 1000 feet turn right.” Bitch, I don’t have a tape measure.
I think people who grip about Apple Maps as it is today probably just haven’t used it and want to gripe for griping sake.
