(Whoops, I got him mixed up with Brad Pitt, apparently. I guess you could say he was a figment of my imagination.)

IMO it’s not the “look” that makes TOS seem dated (although I guess it doesn’t help); it’s something about the direction/dialogue/story pacing. It just “feels” like an old show the same way a '60s sitcom feels different from a '90s sitcom, even without any attempt at futuristic sets or whatever.
I, for one, vote for starting with TNG, a couple of seasons in.

Hopefully they pick a different comet that arrives a lot sooner!
Even the big, red, jolly, fat Santa doesn’t make me think of coke (the fizzy drink or the illicit substance).
It may not make you think of it, but Coca-Cola ads from back in the day were what popularized the depiction nevertheless.
Before that, Santa often looked skinnier and wore a larger variety of colors, among other differences.

The Grinch saw all the commercialized trappings of Christmas and hated it because that’s what he thought it was all about. It was only after he saw the Whos still celebrating even without the commercialization that he understood the “true meaning of Christmas” and wanted to be nice to them instead.
The anti-capitalist part was his motivation in the first place. If anything, returning the stuff was an erosion of that belief (I don’t think it was – I think it was more neutral than that – but if you had to debate it through that lens the point could be argued).
Why the state of the industry is shit, in a nutshell.

Not only do I expect it to produce nonsensical advice that results in combat losses and other negligence, I also expect it to be used as an excuse to deflect blame for war crimes.

Mine is version 2.41.0, obtained from F-Droid.
To be fair, it could be some kind of user error – maybe the option does exist, but I’m not seeing it for some reason – but I don’t really think so.
Edit: Ah! It’s a setting! Settings →General → Other → Share Links. Mine is set to “Voyager App (vger.to)”, but there are also the other options you mentioned, as well as “ask” (which is presumably what yours is set to).
I’m pretty sure vger.to is the default (perhaps for new installs – I changed phones relatively recently), which is unfortunate, since I definitely didn’t change that setting.

My Voyager app only seems to offer the vger.to link. It’s a recent change I’m not happy about.

And the polish sausage, and the sauerkraut topping for the hot dog.
That’s not a reasonable requirement of a salaried position. People might think it is, but they’ve been tricked.
Needing to work extra long hours occasionally during extra-busy times is one thing, but it should be balanced with being able to stop working early during slow times.
More specifically, he’s literally a traitorous Russian asset.

Speaking of “wok hei” and “white guys on YouTube”, Alton Brown’s “cooking over a chimney starter” technique sounded to me like the next best alternative to having a proper industrial stove or big outdoor propane burner. Can you confirm or refute?

…my GPU reaching the age where it overheats easily…
That’s not some sort of natural aging process; that’s you failing to do maintenance. Clean out the dust and/or replace the thermal paste.
I expected this cartoon to be about Charlie Kirk’s wife, for some reason.

The headline should be “…deliberately sabotaging combat effectiveness.” Allowing corporations to cash in is really fucking bad, but it still manages to not be the worst part about this!

It’s even better with that facial expression.

I joined Zwift today! I already did utility cycling, but it’s mostly using an e-bike so doesn’t provide all that much exercise. I think the gamification will help me stay motivated enough to actually do rides for fitness.
