Never realized how many absolute BANGERS that ABBA has until we saw a cover band of them recently.

I wish it was acceptable to call older folks out as lazy if they refuse to learn how to text, email and otherwise use the internet. It’s fine for them to call millennials lazy if they can’t drive a stick shift or balance a checkbook, but if you’re giving me bullshit like “I’m 68 years old, I don’t text and I don’t email” you are just a lazy, stubborn bastard. I’ve met plenty of 90 year olds who are perfectly capable because they aren’t lazy old fucks.

I pretty much listen to podcasts in order from oldest to newest so I haven’t seen any transcripts yet. Supposedly they are doing (adding transcripts) to all new episodes and old episodes will be filled in over time. I don’t know why I’m just really anal about it even if it’s just science stuff I feel like I always have to listen to stuff in order of release…

Excited to try transcripts for podcasts. I installed the Apple Podcast app a few weeks ago to get ready for this…

I’m looking forward to automatic/live podcast transcripts that is supposed to be coming out in March. Hoping they revamp the app completely because I tried using Apple’s podcast app this week in preparation and it isn’t great.

So…you can use the web version and can block all of their trackers and cookies with Safari extensions. Seems like it would be smarter for them to have their own app and get that data but whatever.

Everything now has fucking in app purchases…I’m using the apps I already paid for, built in apps and that’s it.

Ok…so I’m aware there is a feature “check for sensitive media” that parents can turn on and AI can send an alert to you if it seems like your kid might be texting nude pics….only works with iMessage since apple doesn’t have access to photos in other apps. No human sees the photos. But that isn’t the same as what you’re saying and I don’t know if what you’re saying is accurate.

Yep. They really doubled down on privacy/security and it’s pretty admirable. The President doesn’t use an android or a blackberry for a reason. (Well, two in the case of blackberry. Security and existing). If only there were no other problematic areas of Apple’s business (manufacturing, wages, environmental impact).

Having something like Siri or Alexa that was actually smart would be great…
