might be true. but voting is the bare minimum anyone should do and anyone can do.

The message should never be: “Don’t vote because there are more important actions to take”

It should be: “Go Vote! AND go take other actions! [1]”

~[1] Bonus points if you actually tell what YOU are doing that is so much better than voting.~

… requires nation-wide organizing & building a very wide coalition that does include parts of the conservative spectrum.

Are you @Fusselwurm participating in that kind of organizing to defeat authoritarians? If yes: Nice! Tell people how they can participate. If no: I hope you at least vote.

  • If I get interrupted I never get to make a point.

When I talk I like to lay out where I’m coming from. Sometimes I need 2 or 3 sentences to make my point. Most people interrupt me in the middle of sentence 1. I don’t bother saying things like “what I actually wanted to say is …” because then I’m interrupted in the middle of sentence 2.

I hate talking to people. I never interrupt people. I guess people think I have the wildest beliefs and opinions because they never get to hear what I actually want to say.

  • I don’t see anyone here making this about hierarchy or anyone claiming that one group of people is “better” (or “worse”) than the others.

That Gen Z is scoring worse in those tests is a fact. Nobody says that Gen Z is “worse” because of that. If anything this might make previous generations look bad whose decisions lead to the world gen z has to grow up in: The school system, current crises, the pandemic, social media, etc.

To acknowledge those test results is the key to address what caused those results. Then we can discuss:

    • What did we (yes all of us) do wrong (or right) that lead to this?
    • How to help Gen Z and future generations to unlock their potential
    • Or: Question if those tests are still relevant. Are those skills that were tested actually needed in our current time and are there important skills missing that were not tested?

Yep. Pretty easy to find if the meeting is tomorrow or next week. But good luck finding the meeting you accepted yesterday that is in (maybe?) 3 months.

(I know again skill issue because the invite is conveniently stored in the deleted items)

Also god forbid if people want to have different work flows than Microsoft intended.
