Over the last week, at least 14 people were shot in downtown Denver in three separate shootings. One group, which has seen success in Nashville, New Orleans and elsewhere, wants to help.

Stephen Brackett, co-founder of the band Flobots, is also the director of the 87 Foundation. The nonprofit is trying to revitalize Denver’s downtown, starting with more support for the city’s nighttime economy.

    And yet the city is kicking homeless out of housing. I’m not saying that homeless are violent but usually the more people on the street the more harassment and violence
