It made the world weird - especially politics. I still attribute the extreme polarization that we see today to the aftermath of 9/11.
Don’t get me wrong, I know people had strong opinions before 2001, but it didn’t seem like political party was as significant a part of the average person’s identity like it is now.

I think a lot of creative types don’t get over that, but I know some start by doing it for themselves and then it’s just a bonus if anyone else likes it.
It’s honestly pretty rare for places to not have one in the US unless you’re in the downtown part of a major city. Sometimes when walking downtown, it feels like every shop’s bathrooms are staff-only.
It’s really disappointing how much of our space is privatized.
They terrorize the neighborhood, revving their big wheels at all hours of the night.
