Bros. Saw my first baby’s itemized bill from 2009 and they charged us $900 to rent the plastic tub my baby slept in for three days. I legit would’ve brought my own from home.

Everyone involved in US healthcare is unequivocally corrupt. All of you. Every single one of you.

I was shocked at how much it cost for EVERYTHING ELSE and how little it seemed to cost for the actual “birth the baby” part.

16 is either here or coming up on you soon, good luck with that 🫠

This is how I found out that 800mg of ibuprofen / Tylenol costs $45 if you get it in a hospital in the USA.

Inaccurate. You won’t find out about the $4000 hat charge until you randomly get a bill in the mail for it four months later. It’s also already been denied by your insurance. When questioned on this, because your declaration of coverage clearly states that it includes hats, your insurance will claim that the hospital charged it under the wrong code and somehow this is your responsibility.

    “But why?”

“4000’s nothing for a hat that fancy. I’m barely breaking even.”

Ironically if you tell the hospital that’s bullshit and you’re not paying it, they usually oblige. They are squeezing you for every penny so if you threaten to give them nothing, they will work with you to get something.

probably a bit niche but I initially thought this was a dig at Bryan Bozzi (Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari F1 race engineer)

To be fair, the little hat they do give you is really adorable on your new born baby
