Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “Make America Healthy Again” report was found to have cited at least 7 sources that don’t actually exist.

The “MAHA Report” was published earlier this week from the newly-established Make America Healthy Again Commission. In it, more than 500 sources were used to detail supposed issues within the U.S.’s health system.

According to a Thursday piece from NOTUS, however, the MAHA Report cited multiple studies that don’t appear to be real.

You don’t need AI to make up or mis-cite references. I’ve seen it in science-adjacent political manifestos for decades.

“No one’s going to check the references anyway.” If they do, they’re easily dismissed as haters trying to sow doubt.
