‘Disappointed’ is certainly not the language I’d use in her position. I’d remind Trump that future presidents may follow his lead and pardon his attempted assassins. TACO in no time.

What the hell does it take for US centrist/centre-left politicians to be outraged?

Politicians cant just talk however they want, its this idea of “decorum” that they have to maintain.

Its just different expectations for left-of-center and right-of-center politicians. Double Standards.

A far right politician can just go around saying “that’s a nasty question” or go mocking disable people or saying “grab them by the pu***” and still be elected.

But if Biden says something bad about the maga voters, it’s “unprofessional”/“unpresidential”… 🤷‍♂️

If I were her, I would start preparing the National Guard and networking with other like-minded governors. If Trump is willing to pardon people who wanted to claim her life, then he wanted her dead. That is grounds for war.

IMO, the dissolution of the union has become nearly inevitable. The questions lie in the when, how, and whether good people come out on top. The good guys should set up mutual aid in advance, be it weather reports, treaties with Europe, Rainbow Panther militia, lawyers, or taxation that cuts out the federal government.

As in, you’re baffled that people agree with the comment, and are upvoting it? Because it expresses a desire for an opposition politician to make real, meaningful, pragmatic preparations for the descent into fascism that we’re currently experiencing?

Never did recreational drugs nor beer in my life. Lots of history books, though. In them, many governments turned to dust, and the US government has been deliberately creating the conditions to kill itself:

Manufactured famine and disaster by dissolving the NOAA weather service alongside FEMA, unchecked greed by the wealthy that is causing workers to give up on their careers, the abandonment of our science, medicine, and food standards, betrayal of our minority soldiers and civilians, de-legitimizing the rule of law, the loss of our foreign relations and trade, and more.

It is very likely that famine, plague, poverty, war, chaos, and death are the horsemen of our future.

A clear message to Trump brand Nazis that they are free to kill his political opponents. Sure they’ll have to suffer thru some jailtime, but he’ll pardon them.

Hell, Hitler wrote about his struggle there.

Not OP, but the answer to that is going to be “having a work transfer”

If you don’t already work for a company that’s willing to relocate you out of country, or don’t already have citizenship rights in another country that you can cash in, you’re not going anywhere. Not one single place in the world wants American refugees right now, and unless you’re a rocket surgeon, you’re going to be immigrating illegally if at all.

Best move for regular people right now is likely just getting a travel visa and then quietly overstaying it. Just don’t get caught.

Blue states need a secret order that when activated, declares the Federal Executive to be committing treason and orders the National Guard to refuse any orders to federalize under the assumption that all orders from the Federal Executive are all illegal orders.

    Order 8️⃣6️⃣4️⃣7️⃣

Their job is to work within the set of laws we have set up for them. Their job is not to protest, rebel, engage in civil disobedience, etc.; that’s our job. I’m tired of this sentiment that, by being an elected public official in a democratic system, we should also expect them to be martyrs for that system. That is a form of slacktivism. Cut it out. Go protest.

I guess you mean he’ll pardon them. It does seem to be pure vindictiveness, with no attempt to even dress it up. He just wants anyone he dislikes to fear for their life, and all his supporters and lackeys are on board with this.

I know. And how all the evil bastards of the world hang around each other. You can see it in their faces. While I don’t see this in real life to me people who support Trump and Putin and those types all have a very certain look on their face.
