In such cases you might use the browser page as a fall-back? e.g. PieFed renders this to perfection for me on Android Firefox at https://piefed.social/post/889181 . The original Lemmy version at https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/ce7d4419-038a-4d75-824e-d48aae69c122.png is janky but quite serviceable.
Apps don’t usually render Lemmy content universally well. In such cases you might use the browser page as a fall-back?
