Trump reportedly angered by intelligence chiefās social media warning against āwarmongersā placing the world āon the brink of nuclear annihilationā
As he weighs joining Israelās war against Iran, Donald Trump reportedly finds himself at odds with his Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, with one White House official saying that he has ājust been kind of down on her in generalā of late.
Trump was recently incensed, according to Politico, by Gabbardās decision to post a three-minute video on X in the early hours of June 10 in which she warned that āpolitical elite and warmongersā are ācarelessly fomenting fear and tensions between nuclear powers,ā placing the world āon the brink of nuclear annihilation.ā
Trump is said to have been angered by the video, accusing Gabbard of going āoff-messageā and rebuking her for it in person.
I didnāt think weād arrive to the Republicans slitting each otherās throats so quickly but Iām glad weāre here
Well this is pretty par for the course with TACO, but I will admit, it almost felt like this time the yes men (and women I guess) weāre more⦠Aggressively loyal. Guess it didnāt matter. Donny gonna Don
Indeed it is, and I think weāre gonna see it get worse. Trump is an abusive parent/partner. Thereās no ādoing the right thingā, merely āmake sure everyone else is a better target.ā Yesterday it was Hegseth, today itās Gabbard. Tomorrow⦠who knows?
Where it gets really interesting is that this behavior can create a perverse incentive for his team to undermine one another.
Iām pretty sure his companies are known for fostering that kind of work environment.
Itās well-documented, yes. Weāve actually done all this before.
Tulsi Gabbard started life as a Democrat. I am assuming they are going to kick her to the curb because she was a ācrypto-Marxistā or something like that.
Like they ever use, or need, a valid reason.
You shouldnāt be glad. The getting rid of government scope and distribution is a way to consolidate power with the office of the president.
The various offices in a democracy, the span of government is a kind of hidden balance built into liberal beurocracies. More complicated power distribution, harder to subvert.
Tyrannies tend to be very straight forward and direct in their power distributions.
Heās making the ultimate take over easier.
Each office he destroys is one less person who might help depose him.
When you have a dictator you donāt need departments. You make all the decisions. Poorly and without care of consequence.
Nah. I was expecting sooner but Iām glad that itās finally happening. Not as dramatic as I would have liked.
