I spoke to a gregarious New York police officer who was fed up with patrolling Times Square and all “the savages” there. Yeah, totally normal, everyday folk. No racism in their motives at all!

It’s perfectly understandable when they become jaded, callous, and so on. They do the work they are ordered to, but the problems never become better.

Police always encounter all the problems society fails to solve and dumps it on their lap. It’s perfectly understandable when they become jaded, callous, and so on. They do the work they are ordered to, but the problems never become better.
