It’s rare that I’m not juggling doing 6 different things at the same time.
I feel if I remember to do something I need to immediately get that ball rolling, else I will completely forget about it, and end up half doing dozens of things.
Currently in the process of looking up a new hairstyle, updating my immich server, making a PieFed post, getting ready for and appointment and probably some other things I’ll remember in a bit

Yep. The nice thing about getting on meds (atomoxetine in my case) is that at least for tasks I really want to get done, I’m now able to ignore those interruptions and keep going.
I’ve never tried meds, I consider it every now and then but I function alright without them, despite it being a struggle
This is exactly how I describe being on atomoxetine to my friends and family. It’s not a magic moment of clarity, it just takes the edge off of my need to dive down every rabbit hole I see. I can still do that of course (and sometimes it still happens when I should be doing something else) but on the whole it’s easier to pull myself out of the distraction spiral before it becomes too bad.
How long have you been taking it? It just stopped working for me after 6 months.
Just shy of 6 months - you’ve got me worried now! I did find it took a couple of weeks to start working, so I ramped up pretty slowly to my current dose (75mg). Also I’m pretty sensitive to being tired and my brain starts jumping all over the place if I didn’t sleep well.

I wanted to fetch a photo of my ID from immich, saw a random screenshot of Reddit from 3 years ago where I noticed a user in the screenshot who is now here and a friend, and ended up searching through her reddit profile for that comment.
Ofc I had forgotten my ID at step 1.

Instead of relying on immich for keeping track of documents, might I suggest Paperless-ngx as an alternative
Does it store them as a standard file type?
You upload your files as a jpg or pdf or however you’d like, then paperless runs OCR text recognition on it so you can search by keyword. You can add tags and categories to each file to keep them organized, and this way you don’t have to go scrolling through your cat photos to find last year’s property tax bill.
Oh neat, I assume you just take photos of the docs with your phone or something?

I just remembered that Paperless is on my backburner to-do (the one that’s only in my head), and now I really want to get it installed. Right. Now! 😅
Does anybody remember those old cartoons (Looney Tunes, IIRC) where they tie a string around their finger to not forget something?
