    I knew the worm in RFK’s brain didn’t die but secretly took control of his body. He’s looking to catch humanity off guard for a major assault from flesh-eating screw worms.

        Does this mean RFK is going to be spontaneously replaced by a younger man in a wig whenever a punch is thrown?

        And who gets to have their skin and muscle burned off so the ribcage and such is showing?

        TNG S1 was wild.

    The case, involving a person who had recently traveled to El Salvador,

    “The risk to public health in the United States from this introduction is very low,” [HHS spokesperson Emily G. Hilliard] said.

    U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins traveled to Texas to announce a five-part plan to combat the screwworm on Aug. 15

    This includes plans to breed billions of sterile flies and dump them from the air over southern Texas and Mexico in the hope of stopping the parasite’s spread.

    A report from the USDA last year estimated an outbreak of screwworm could cost Texas at least $1.8 billion due to livestock deaths, labor costs and medication.

      If only we had a program of releasing billions of sterile males in a very narrow strip of land to keep them from coming up here. Oh we did? Trump axed it? Not surprising.

    There was an article here few weeks ago about how an US governmental agency (I don’t remember which) made screwworm disappear from US decades ago, then Mexico, and managed to contain it to few pockets in central america, and now, just few months after fund cuts from the new government the invasion is spreading very fast and reaching US…

    Who could have prevented it ?

    Screwworms eating people? Nothing that horse dewormer or lethal doses of vitamin A can’t fix.

    Oh, it goes after the livestock? Now they suddenly need real science to fix that!
