If you haven’t seen leftists and left leaning people advocating for gun ownership then you haven’t been looking. Groups like the SRA, JBGC, and Pink Pistols have been around for at least a decade and are rapidly growing in size.
If you go far enough left, you get your guns back.
My gut feeling is just that discourse shifted rapidly regarding left leaning gun owners over the last year or so, and I can’t help but suspect it’s not partially driven by the gun industry trying to get more people interested in buying guns.

There are many types of power that people should have, martial among them. Without force, it isn’t possible to hold leaders to account if they decide to forego the interests of the people they lead.
