Thought they had internal mechanisms that self destruct non-explosively if the charge goes down far enough, but I can’t for the life of me find where I read that originally, or Anything that corroborates it. Best I can find is chemical damage that happens automatically if it drops below 2.5v.

Yep, that’s the 7 pro - I had one, too. It was perfect for me because I never took selfies.
I loved the design of that one
Yeah had that before the 11, liked the 7 more. But the cameras on the 11 are great.
Phone’s still in my drawer, but the battery is shot
Not to be the party pooper but having a dead lithium battery in your drawer might not be the wisest thing.
