Didn’t MS just put out a RTO mandate like a week ago? Sure they’ll totally let people have 3 day work weeks.

Zoom was one of the first to do the RTO…while the CEO was not in the office.

… And while earning a shit-ton for being a meeting app far more reliable and even-sounding than fucking teams.

What they’re not telling you is that weeks will now be two days long and you’ll owe your employer for that missing day.

Or you will need to pick up 3 other jobs to make ends meet. 3 days at slave camp 1, 3 days at slave camp 2 over lapping 3 days for slave camp 3

It’s literally the only way for capitalism to keep going…

When there’s not enough jobs to earn money for resources shit hits the fan.

To compensate for technological advances the standard work week needs to shrink while wages at least stay the same. That way there’s more jobs.

It’s literally the whole point of the Luddite movement when the auto look showed up.

But what if our oligarchs just let 40% of us die, instead? Do they even notice a difference? They probably make more money.

The whole pyramid scheme requires the poor to buy things, and collapses when they don’t.

just like animals need to keep circulating blood to stay alive, so does the economy need to continue circulating consumer goods and products. without it, it’s dead and becomes worthless rather rapidly.

basically, the economy has a stark interest in keeping consumerism running. that’s in fact such a large interest that it even justifies taxing the rich and redistributing money sothat it can flow in circles (from bottom to top, from top to bottom).

          taxing the rich

Where exactly is that happening besides western Europe? I do not see that happening in the USA at the moment.
