The plot of goblin slayer is that they are easy to kill like really easy to kill so easy in fact that no true adventure would soil their reputation fighting them but the problem is that they get their strength in numbers not might so while everyone is focusing on the bigger issues the every day problems are tearing people apart (it’s a metaphor) anyway the thing that makes the over leveled hero a hero is the fact that he spends time keeping the goblins at bay.
I love the way he articulates that everyone wants the glory of killing the demon king, but since everyones chasing the demon king no one has been culling goblins and now theyre almost unchecked and heroes would have no home to return to.
He’s like almost the highest rank adventurer for just being a “gardener” on the home front
