l am neither a racist nor a pedophile, in fact I never reccomend shows such as monogatari because the child romance ruins the whole thing for me, but I grew up in an era where sexuality, blood, and violence were the main themes of anime and not something shown anywhere else on television or movies. I think I’m an anime fan for the same reason I’m a fan of comic books, because it’s one of the last forms of art and media free from overreaching censorship.
