“The community has voted. Please now go to! [email protected]” Do you remember that bullshit, Blaze? Suggesting to that other…person whose name escapes me…to ping EVERYONE in moviesandtv, television and who knows who else?
What’s with the near-constant, spectrum-level SPAM? “Monthly reminder”? It’s SPAM. It now appears you and your cronies (but mostly YOU) just wanna herd people over to [email protected] as if there’s only tumbleweeds and no participation in this community. You are chasing people away from every community you SPAM. Why can you not see this?
First with that bullshit about spamming every subscribed member of that moviesandtv community (and not being able to discern the difference) and now recently you add NOTHING to the conversation other than “join [email protected]! Look at me! Join [email protected]! Look at me! Join [email protected]!”
At first, and I’m talking a while ago, it was almost endearing, your raging enthusiasm for the Lemmy environment. Now you’re just shown yourself annoying, manic and incessant. Monthly reminder? Just knock it off, shut off the cellphone for a day and go outside.
I apologize if this post seems harsh but these things needed to be said for a while now.
The comment indeed seems harsh, but let’s still discuss this.
Monthly reminder seems fine, if it’s not, I’m happy to discuss it with the mods, but they left the previous one (https://piefed.zip/post/557460) so I assume they still tolerate that frequency.
I regularly contribute to [email protected] . Most newcomers aren’t aware of the existence of [email protected] , so having that monthly post seems relevant.
Posters want to post to a place where there is an audience, it gets tiring to should into the void, and that’s why you see less and less people sharing on the weekly [email protected] thread.
You bring up old stuff, like when we used the script to pinging subscribers of [email protected] before moving to [email protected] in March 2025, eight months ago. We apologized for that, said it would never happen again, and it indeed never happened again.
I’m not going to answer the personal attacks, but they don’t really seem to contribute to a good faith conversation.
Bruh you straight up had the option to just downvote and move on and instead chose this. To Blaze no less. Blaze has done more for the fediverse than most.

I’m also not the only one doing this, here’s an example from a couple of weeks back: https://lemmy.world/post/37772021 ( @[email protected] )
If we just look at how both communities are managed
New joiners want to see the most active community, they want to avoid https://lawsofux.com/choice-overload/
