After these votes the pressure is on him in a way he has yet experienced. I don’t know if I can think of another issue in which almost all Republican legislators opposed him.

My guy, how blind are you? If the Republicans all voted to release it then they are in on the cover up. They were told to vote yes because they won’t release anything incriminating. There’s no fucking opposition.

Don’t be a dumbass and pay attention to the news. They flipped because they could no longer stop it with Grijalva finally seated. Trump begged Boebert to vote against and she didn’t. All part of the plan?

There’s nothing Trump can do. His veto would be overridden. He either does nothing and in 10 days it goes through or he acts like he never cared in the first place, no matter how ridiculous that is.

Maybe but he will brand any Republican who is against him as, ironically, a traitor.

Because that’s who he wants on his team, people loyal to him, regardless of affiliation. But Republicans are easier to dupe so they mostly fell in line.

They almost unanimously voted to release the files. Unanimous votes in the House are not frequent. On this issue at least, he doesn’t have any loyalists in Congress.
