I live in Spokane, WA, just across the border from Idaho. Where I live the minimum wage is 16.66/hr with no income tax. Just a short journey into Idaho, and it’s the federal low of 7.25/hr minus income tax.
To clarify, he believes that there should be no floor to what an employer may pay you. Believes that by removing the minimum wage, it would put downward pressure on all wages, and that would be a good thing. I also oppose the minimum wage. It not being enough to live an acceptable quality of life at full time hours is bullshit.
