Wet felted wool on a form I cut out of a reusable shopping bag, roughly 10" high x 10" long x 6" wide. Cotton embroidery floss and cheesecloth added for colour and texture, more visible on the other side, but I prefer this side. The dirtier green was dyed with peppermint. I used a mix of corriedale and unlabeled, rougher sheep wool I get in a giant discount bag. At least I think it came from a sheep…
Wet felting is the process of agitating wool with hot water and soap to get it to felt together, like when you accidentally toss a wool knit in the drier and it becomes a new sweater for your ferret, except intentional.
I made this to hold LED branches I use as a makeshift Saturnalia tree.
Io Saturnalia!
Cool! Reminds me of a fennel bulb.
Don’t lie OP, you ripped that organ right out of some poor felt-based lifeform.

That would have been much easier, physically. And mentally.
It’s a slurm gland.

I love this. I feel like I’m looking at an alien heart
Thanks! That’s what a friend said, too.
… or Squidward’s heart?

A Balzac shih tzu?
My first thought was “moldy abstracted heart” but in a “that looks cool” way.
I’m on a big mold and fungus kick right now. Mold is cool.
Love them. Excellent creature, excellent color, excellent form.
… I should make a creature using the same form. Now I have ideas, thanks~
