Mamdani’s transition team said the committee will help plan and host a free public inauguration block party, billed as a citywide celebration that reflects the coalition behind his election. The group includes artists, labor leaders, organizers, business figures, and several campaign field leads who worked on Mamdani’s run.
It was this, NYPost or TimesOfIsrael having a good title. Of all of them this was the least bad article.
ABC 7 New York? Granted they updated the title not to include Miss Rachel by name, but does every headline need to be engagement bait? Especially when the alternative is fascist news?
No mention of Miss Rachel. Not a catchy headline whatsoever. Likely on purpose.
Likely because they’re a local news station with reasonable journalistic integrity who expect that their readership wants to gasp read news. This attitude to me is depressing and completely ethically bankrupt – that a fascist news piece with a hyper-clickable headline is better than one that just discusses the news undramatically as it is.
A catchy headline is mandatory for news to get views. The headline of WashingtonExaminer isn’t a lie either. In fact it shows what people would likely be most interested in.

Archive is not bad but I have to upload a custom thumbnail and other instances which aren’t .ml often have problems viewing that thumbnail.
I’m not sure this sub has a rule that post titles must match article titles. There aren’t any rules posted in the sidebar, so it’s kind of just at the whims of the sole mod.
