Don’t pirate it! If you do: Don’t talk about the game to others because that gives it just more publicity
Different idea:
For the week of its release, commit yourself to talking about one game; preferably indie. Be surprised when people instead want to talk about GTA6.
Focus on the positive action. Ignoring an attention hog isn’t really an active task.
I agree in theory. But lets not pretend it will make any difference. GTA 6 will be the biggest media release ever with just insane amounts of publicity spreading far beyond just the gaming space into the public consciousness
Because everyone keeps talking about it. If the mayority does not buy it and does not talk about it the media will sooner or later stop reporting, because it does not generate cilcks anymore. You can start by downvoting this post.
Yeah, as i said i agree with that mindset for almost everything else. But that just wont happen with GTA 6. Its too big. When it releases it will be on national news in almost every country whether we(a few nerds) talk about pirating it or not.
If the Pros/Nerds start talkin bad about a product it will tickle down to the common folks. You can see that with Windows 11 at the moment.

When a PC version launches it will have Denuvo 1 million percent…or…it would not surprise me if it’s an always online game with mandatory social club online connection to play the single player
TLDR; expect to be waiting quite a while to play this for free
