    I don’t think either side has accepted where they are and what needs to be done, regardless of how you got there.

    It’s too late to talk about what the laws and regulations should be. Laws are irrelevant. The time to affect ideological change has passed, you missed the window. Even if you’re right about the causes, and I believe you and I would agree on that, those discussions are over. At this point it’s just more navel gazing and blaming that distracts from what needs to be done.

      I disagree. Now more than ever ideological change in this country is a necessity. How do you suggest we get out of this without fundamentally changing the character of the politics in this country?
