It’s helped to be having these conversations on social networks where everyone feels compelled to say “no that’s crazy talk, violence is bad” and comments that say otherwise just go missing.
Full disclosure, I’m also not American. But I was thinking of the Patriot Act, which IMO was a huge power grab by the Executive Branch and paved the way for a lot of the problems (especially widespread indiscriminate surveillance) that are present today.
It’s up to the Americans of course, and I remember there being protests about it, but I was really surprised they just let that go on without getting rowdy.
Two weeks ago somebody blasted a van through the front door of the Target near me late at night and stole a bunch of shit. They got away. I was extremely disappointed that I was not involved.
