I grew up in mexico where corruption is endemic. One day, my mom was complaining about corruption pointing fingers. I told her that I left mexico because it’s impossible to live there without being corrupt. That, if you give money to a corrupt police officer or any other bureaucrat you are corrupt, and most of the time it’s not even a choice. If you didn’t report wrong doing because “nothing will be done” you are corrupt.
So, It’s my observation that ACAB.

There are always outliers, so I have no doubt there are some decent folks who joined to make an actual difference. There might even be a few who managed to hold onto that drive. But they are part of a corrupt system, peered with power hungry morons. So I have no compunction saying that all cops are bastards.
Every group has outliers, it’s the sycophants who will always try to point out the minuscule good in the sea of evil as a means to whitewash the black stains. We aren’t stupid, we know that acab doesn’t mean every single cop walks I lockstep, it’s an observation of the system as a whole.

A reminder to all US residents for when you are close to an ICE vehicle. If it is a low vehicle such as a car, if they try to run you over by going forward, you will be thrown over the hood and likely to be okay, but vehicles that are higher or the back of a car will suck you under. Don’t stand behind an ICE vehicle or in front off an ICE truck/suv. It is safest from the side or the front of an ICE car. However check to see if the steering tires are straight because if it reverses and turns hard, it can suck you under the side.
You’ll only go over the hood if they’re traveling at a decent clip, ironically. I wouldn’t have that as your Plan A.
…and be sure to carry a small valve-stem remover tool in your pocket.
A BB or small piece of gravel screwed under the cap will slowly drain the air without having to need to carry a tool or knife you might get in trouble for. A nail placed under a parked tire is such a way to puncture only when they pull away will have a similar effect.

We can’t really know what the non-eligible voting population believes, but in the 2024 General Election, ~34% voted Republican, ~32% voted Democrat, ~1% voted 3rd party, and ~33% didn’t vote.

The only way, outside collapse and rebuild which is undesirable, action from within government which won’t happen, stop work and participation protests peacefully by something like 60-70% of the population which won’t happen because Americans can’t endure hardship, is to vote out the current Democrats in primaries then vote those primaried in. That requires better than 80% turnout and sticking to the cause, cleaning out and rebuilding that party. Your system allows nothing else and it needs numbers because of the Electoral College problem.
The fact is, had Americans not been so lazy with voting, it and now the world wouldn’t be here. That this is caused by simple laziness and lack of desire to vote will never be forgotten by me and it will always cloud my view of Americans. I’ll never again give any American citizen the benefit of the doubt.
