My circle all talks shit about the Kentucky dynasty and how it shouldn’t be a thing. If you’re going off tv shows and other media to form your belief that the US is “obsessed” with the Kennedys, you’re only getting a controlled, small view that doesn’t reflect all or even the majority.
JFK was young, handsome, and killed before he did anything to ruin his reputation. Similar with the original RFK. Other Kennedys are more infamous than anything. Ted? RFK Jr? Lots of Americans who heartily dislike them
That’s like thinking all UK folks love their monarchy and want it to continue. Lol, no.
I honestly think that whether people like or dislike them is a bit beside the point. I don’t think I can mention any other family “dynasty” that has had the same consistent political power as the Kennedys over decades in the modern world. And I live in a Monarchy.
Only 3 Kennedys had real power with the new RFK being a weird outlier, and one without much real juice. They’re just a rich family with name recognition at this point.
How about the Bush family? I’d rank them above the Kennedys.
