You can, and should, stop talking to them. Especially outside of work. You should not be going out with people like this. They wish harm on others for no reason.
The point isn’t these specific “friends”, the point is, these are what I would consider normal, average people. These are coworkers, some of who I know to be otherwise good and rational people. I honestly would not think that normal people would react with such deference to authority.
Of course this will inform every interaction I have with them from here, but again, the point is, these folks represent the person next to you in line at the grocery store, the person you wave through traffic at a stop sign, the person delivering your amazon packages.
Yeah I stopped being friends with such people. Lack of brain capacity is a big turn off
These are work friends, so can’t get away from them. I am working on finding a new job though.

It’s not just lack of brain capacity. Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life were mentally handicapped.
These people are actively malicious. They want to hurt others.
