I mean, essentially all users on the Threadiverse, Reddit, etc are pseudonymous. Not exactly the same thing as anonymity, but pretty close.
EDIT: And I kinda think that the Penny Arcade most-likely actually meant pseudonymity, since actually doing anonymity is fairly uncommon. 4chan.org does anonymity. Slashdot.org optionally does it. My guess is that he was probably thinking of some multiplayer game, if not a video game forum, given that Penny Arcade subject matter is video games, and those tend to be pseudonymous, where a user selects and uses some kind of persistent handle visible to others.
