If I weren’t already a diver, this fun fact would make me want to be one

Neither animal is likely to harm a human in the water, but seeing them interact together would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience

Nothing is stopping you from starting an underground moose vs orca betting ring.

I just went to the wikipedia article to check this, and at this point I am not sure what orcas can’t hunt.

Can you be sure one isn’t hunting you right now?

Apparently they don’t really hunt people in the wild, they’ll kill the fuck out of people in captivity though (understandable imo.) They were ramming yachts for a little bit but they didn’t hunt the people there either, oddly enough, and it may have sort of just been in fashion for the wales to do at the time. They’ve also started the old fashion trend of wearing a salmon on their heads again, even in the animal kingdom trends are circular it seems.

That’s just orca propaganda to lure you into the ocean.

They cannot hunt moose that don’t go foraging in the sea.

        in the sea

Or close to it. Or in a large river.

But yeah, they probably don’t usually hunt camels.

      Engage pedant mode!

The Swedish word for moose is “älg”.

Moose is an Anglicized Algonquian word. The Algonquians didn’t have a writing system so English just used the double o to represent sound phonetically.

Ø is a sound that we don’t really use in English, sort of a slightly backed and rounded “eux” as in the French “deux”. Doubling it means you pronounce it twice - it’s a a long vowel. M-eux-euxse.

      Pedant mode off!

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
